For over 3 decades, Louis Diemert was known in Mobile for his many creative disguises each Mardi Gras season, dressing up as well-known characters from Scarlett O’Hara to Adolf Hitler.

The Order of Many Faces, dedicated to the memory of Louis Diemert, was founded in 2014 and paraded for the first time in 2016. In keeping with worldwide carnival traditions which pre-date the era of mystic parades and continue the comedic sense of revelers like Joe Cain or the Comic Cowboys, riders in the OOMF parade carry on Diemert’s legacy and are disguised as historical characters without secretive masks.
